Rituals (2016)

These tapestries use personal symbols as a way to explore interior landscapes, magical thinking and creating with intention. While making these pieces I used the physical process of weaving as both a meditation and a ritualistic act to send positivity and love out into the world. While there is no way to measure or verify the effect, there is strong evidence that the creation and sharing of art is a powerful remedy. In this way the series is an experiment in thought and the tapestries themselves are at once art objects and a visual record of incantation.
